This is Art bringing in a wagon full of corn which has been picked in the fields.
When the corn was picked by hand, the stalks would be left in the field and the animals would forage on it during the Winter.This appears to be LeeRoy and Everett Eckberg, also sitting on a load of corn as it is drawn by horses toward the barn.
Younger family members sit in a wagon, likely also loaded with corn, in the farm yard. Next the corn will be taken to the corn crib.
