Note for: Franz Eiermann, 3 MAY 1810 - 31 DEC 1883
Franz came to America with his brother Johann Adam in 1839, settling
first in
Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. His brother moved to Iowa in April 1853
and
Franz presumably moved with him at that time.

Note for: Mary E. Eiermann, ABT 1854 - ABT 1924
Married to Thomas Fowler on 1 Oct 1874
Notes
Note for: Lucy Eiermann, ABT 1855 -
Married Michael Erwin on 14 Dec. 1876
Notes
Note for: Georg Elgass, ABT 1757 - 17 DEC 1795
Georg's age at his death is recorded as being 38 years.
Notes
Note for: Catherina Paul, -
In the birth record of one of Catharine's early children her maiden name
is
recorded in the Latin inscribed report as "Paulin". This is most likely
the
feminine diminutive form of the name Paul, and not the name Paulin as we
know
it from other parts of the family.
Notes
Note for: Joseph Trunzer, 5 MAR 1719/20 - 5 APR 1794
Josef Trunzer is supposed to have been a lawyer.
Notes
Note for: Christopher Eyermann, 3 JAN 1706/07 - 27 JUN 1779
Birth records in Sulzbach, Germany, near Mosbach, indicate birth as shown.
Death records in Hilsbach records report death on 27 Jun 1779 and record
age of
78 years, a discrepancy of about 6 or 7 years.
Marriage record in books in church's office (Pfarramt) in Angelbachtal,
near Hilsbach, reads
"27 Jan 1742 Christophorus Eyrmann ex Sulzbach in Odenwald A Anna Maria
Hoffmannin ex brilonia in Westphalia Testantibg(sic) georgio gimper A
Michaels
gabel Hilspachenby civilby--. p. barnabus copulavil(?).
Christopher Eyermann was apparently the first Eyermann to move from
Sulzbach to Hilsbach, Germany, sometime before 1742.
Notes
Note for: Anna Maria Hoffmann, ABT 1700 - 14 FEB 1783
Anna Maria's age at her death was recorded as being 84 years.
Notes
Note for: Anna Margaretha Coffer, 6 OCT 1750 - 14 AUG 1809
The date of birth comes from birth records in Leutesheim, and is probably
accurate. However, a census record from Bischofsheim, written in the
early
1800's, gives the date of birth of Martin Beick's wife," A. Margar.
Kofferin",
as "1749, the 18th Nov. in Leutesheim". There are no Koffers or Coffers
born in
Leutesheim on that date and so I feel the date in the census record,
recorded
apparently after her death, must be an error.
Notes
Note for: Johann Georg Ribs, 29 MAR 1696 - 8 MAY 1756
The family name of Johann Georg Ribs was spelled as Ribs, Rips and Ripps.
Johann's first wife died at the age of 28 and he remarried soon
afterwards,
having two children by his second wife, Catharina Senger, named Anna
Maria and
Barbara.
Notes
Note for: Johann Jacob Hauss, 30 OCT 1747 - 20 DEC 1821
Johann Jakob Hauss is described in the church books as being a
"schiffman", or
a person who sailed on the rivers.
Notes
Note for: Johann Georg Hauss, -
Lutzen is now known as Leutesheim. Johann's marriage to Anna Maria was his
second marriage. His first wife was Maria Magdalena who died 28 Oct 1737
at the
age of 24, one month after giving birth. The records note that he was a
"schiffman", a sailor of the rivers.
