Note for:   Daniel Neal,    -
"Daniel Neal and Spouse, Rhoda Clarkson and second wife Grace Farley. Their vital statistics are given previously. Though Daniel is listed in 1900 census as a farmer, I have propaganda page printed for use by him in 1879 and giving himself as Professor NEAL and the happy brothers, performing magical arts, ventriloquism, taking a live serpent from his stomach, and several other things. I have heard from his relatives' descendants that knew him that he was abusive to his wife and family, bad to swear (curse), could not talk without using four language, etc. Though born in Ohio and married there the first time, he afterward was living in the Cabell and Mason county areas of West Virginia."--from Chester I.
