Hildur Nelson was born on January 29, 1898 in Illinois, probably in Menard County. She moved with her family to Alberta, Canada in about 1907 where she married a man named Rook. She had a child or two and lived the rest of her life in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada. She was living there in 1998 when she celebrated her 90th birthday, an event that was noted in the local paper.

"Hildur Rook and Baby and Lila Rook."

"To Orville (Eckberg) Viola Rook, Anna Wybert, Hildur Rook, Lila Rook, Gladys Rook." Viola Rook must have been a sister-in-law; Anna Wybert was Hildur's sister. Lila and Gladys are likely Hildur's girls. Note the same material that has been used to make Hildur and Gladys' dresses.

"To Cousin Anna Richmond From your Canadian Cousin Hildur Rook 1993" This was on a Christmas card.
