Marlow Asa Drayton

Marlow was born May 24, 1935 , the son of Asa and Marian (Brunner) Drayton. He grew up in the Manlius, Illinois area and graduated from Manlius High School in 1953.After high school he was employed by the Steele and Harberg construction firm from 1957 until 1982, except for a two year obligation in the U. S. Army, during which he spent time in Germany. He married Wanda Richmond on June 14, 1969 at the Walnut United Methoodist Church, Walnut, Illinois.

Marlow became a partner in Walnut Components in 1982 and worked with the company from 1982 until his retirement in 1996. He now has a portable sawmill and works with local farmers and road crews. He enjoys woodworking in his free time. He and his wife, Wanda (Richmond) live on forty acres of land west of Walnut, Illinois.
